The NTL newsletter

The NTL newsletter is a mailing list to which occasional notices about new releases of NTL, and perhaps other news of general interest to NTL users, is posted.

This mailing list is strictly a newsletter, in the sense that posting to it by the general public or subscribers to the list is not allowed.

To subscribe to this list, send an email:

   To: ntl-news-request@shoup.net
   Subject: subscribe
To unsubscribe to this list, send an email:
   To: ntl-news-request@shoup.net
   Subject: unsubscribe
Note also that one may supply an optional email address after the word subscribe or unsubscribe above.

The NTL newsletter replaces the old NTL mailing list that I used to maintain. Everyone who was on that mailing list has been placed on this list.

The NTL discussion list

The NTL discussion list is a mailing list that NTL users may wish to join to discuss any issues relating to NTL with other NTL users who have subscribed to this list.

For example, users may have questions about installation difficulties on certain platforms that other users may be able to help with, or users may wish to share information about projects using NTL with other users.

By subscribing to this list, you may send email to all other subscribers of this list, and you will receive all email posted to this by other subscribers. The list is not moderated.

To subscribe to this list, send an email:

   To: ntl-request@shoup.net
   Subject: subscribe
To unsubscribe to this list, send an email:
   To: ntl-request@shoup.net
   Subject: unsubscribe
Note also that one may supply an optional email address after the word subscribe or unsubscribe above.

To post a message to the list, send email:

   To: ntl@shoup.net
Note that you must subscribe to the list before you can post a message to the list.

Unlike the NTL newsletter, I have not placed anyone on this mailing list from the old NTL mailing list. One has to explicitly subscribe to this list. Note also that postings to ntl-news@shoup.net are not posted to ntl@shoup.net.
